About the Role

Adecco is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team in Peterborough. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining all electrical equipment, machinery, auxiliary instruments, and gauges, ensuring minimum disruption to production and compliance with safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete planned maintenance activities as per schedule
  • Conduct equipment set-up evaluation (ESE) after maintenance, breakdowns, and tooling replacements
  • Complete size changeovers as per production planning requirements and seek to improve the changeover process
  • Ensure availability and efficient function of re-conditioned spares
  • Support the Production Team during major machine and services breakdowns

Manufacturing of Parts & Unit Spares

  • Re-engineer spare parts using drawings or reverse engineering from existing parts
  • Manufacture unit spares for machines using a full range of engineering machines (lathes, millers, grinders etc.)
  • Manufacture small component parts for production machinery
  • Maintain all safe working practices as required by Health and Safety Legislation and Power Press Regulations

Requirements

  • Level 3 Apprenticeship (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering/Maintenance
  • Previous experience in using workshop machinery and measuring equipment
  • Commitment to Health and Safety
  • A 'can-do' attitude
  • A drive for continuous improvement
