Job Title: Senior Fire Risk Specialist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Fire Risk Specialist to join our team at Metropolitan Housing Trust. As a Senior Fire Risk Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting and validating fire risk assessments, audits, inspections, and surveys across our housing stock, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and minimizing risk.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct and validate fire risk assessments, audits, inspections, and surveys across our housing stock.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and minimize risk.
- Provide technical fire safety advice to colleagues and act as a point of contact for external organizations.
- Review, approve, and validate all fire risk assessments carried out by other Fire Risk Assessors.
Requirements:
- Strong technical background with a clear understanding of the Regulatory Reform Fire Safety Order and relevant fire safety legislation and guidance documents.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate fire risk and good fire safety practices to all relevant persons.
- Hold a valid nationally recognized fire safety qualification such as NEBOSH National Certificate in Fire Safety and Risk Management, Institute of Fire Engineers (IFE), or similar.
- Recognized minimum level 3 qualification within fire risk assessment such as the FPA, IFE, or similar, or registered by a competent body for FRA.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in the fire safety industry.
