We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at Henderson Group. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality meals to meet the needs of our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare ingredients and cooking equipment for meal preparation
- Check the quality of ingredients and report any concerns to senior chefs
- Follow recipes and methods to ensure consistency and quality of food production
- Portion, arrange, and garnish food to meet specifications
- Cook food using various utensils and kitchen appliances
- Exercise and enforce strict health and safety standards
- Conduct food safety control checks and record results
- Prepare and cook food in line with company procedures and health and safety regulations
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness in the kitchen area
- Enforce legislative demands and standards for fire, health, hygiene, and safety
- Good standard of education and excellent communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and multitask
- Minimum 2 years experience in a catering environment
- Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures (Level 2 qualification)
- Commercial awareness and ability to deliver on key performance indicators
