About the Role:

This senior position is responsible for leading a team of engineers in the maintenance and repair of electrical infrastructure across the country. As an Electrical Engineering Manager at AmcoGiffen, you will oversee the maintenance of Canal and River Trust (CRT) MEICA assets, including moving structures like lift and swing bridges, locks, and SCADA systems.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in industrial, mechanical, and electrical asset maintenance, holding a Senior Authorised Person (SAP) certification. A minimum Level 3 electrical certification, preferably with mechanical knowledge, is also required. Familiarity with CRT assets is advantageous, as is proven experience in project or maintenance work related to mechanical & hydraulic systems, particularly with moving structures, pumps, SCADA, and PLCs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee the maintenance of CRT MEICA assets, ensuring efficient resource deployment.
  • Manage the production of engineering deliverables, ensuring alignment with project goals.
  • Facilitate meetings with clients and internal teams to ensure clarity in design and implementation processes.
  • Evaluate project-generated documentation, including Construction Phase Plans (CPPs), Work Package Plans (WPPs), Technical Bulletins (TBs), specifications, and drawings.
  • Provide structural approval for construction methodologies and changes in standards.
Requirements:
  • Must be a Senior Authorised Person (SAP) with extensive experience in industrial, mechanical, and electrical asset maintenance.
  • Minimum Level 3 electrical certification, ideally with mechanical knowledge.
  • Familiarity with CRT assets is advantageous.
  • Proven experience in project or maintenance work related to mechanical & hydraulic systems, particularly with moving structures, pumps, SCADA, and PLCs.
