As a Maintenance Technician at ASPIRE PEOPLE LTD, you will be responsible for securing the school and nursery site, including the intruder alarms, windows, external gates and doors. You will also perform visual health & safety checks of the school site, identifying issues and remedying where possible.

You will be checking the school facilities are in good working order, including boilers and utility supplies. This includes replacing school consumables such as light fittings, hand soap dispensers, hand towel dispensers, and toilet rolls holders. External site bins will need to be emptied and litter picked regularly.

A key aspect of this role is site maintenance, which includes water hygiene checks, boiler checks, sprinkler system maintenance, fire and alarm system checks, routine equipment checks, and meter readings. You will also be responsible for visual safety checking of external fixtures, fittings & play equipment.

In addition to these tasks, you will repair school fittings & fixtures where possible, move furniture & school equipment when required, and port various school deliveries, furnishings, and other equipment as needed.

You will work closely with external contractors when required and supervise their work. In an emergency, you will attend designated call outs/designated key holder in case of alarms out of hours. Occasional opening and closing of the school out of hours for community or school events may also be required.
