Job Summary

This role is a key leadership position within the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, responsible for supporting research delivery within health and care settings. The successful candidate will provide strategic oversight of the regional Research Delivery Network (RRDN) portfolio, identify and address impact on regional health and social inequalities, and support the development of research capacity and capability within their specialty.

Main Responsibilities
  • Strategic oversight of the regional RRDN portfolio, including support for regional portfolio oversight activities
  • Identification and addressing of impact on regional health and social inequalities at all stages of research delivery
  • Support for the development of research capacity and capability within their specialty, including building regional capacity and capability for study delivery
  • Embedding research, engagement, and delivery into the NHS and wider care environment
  • Engagement and initiation of relevant regional stakeholders to build regional research delivery capacity and capability
  • Assistance in the development and mentorship of future/new Principal Investigators across the health and care sector
  • Initiating, facilitating, and promoting regional cross-specialty and cross-setting collaborations for improved research delivery
  • Contribution to national and regional RDN strategic development for research delivery
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in research delivery, with experience in strategic oversight, health and care intelligence, and research capacity building. They will also have excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
