Warehouse Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to join our team at our site near Snetterton. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day distribution aspects of our busy and vibrant depot, ensuring all KPI targets are met and customer expectations delivered.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Warehouse Management: Ensure the warehouse operates in compliance with company policies and vision.
  • Warehouse Procedures and Processes: Implement and maintain required warehouse and distribution procedures and processes, adhering to relevant legislation.
  • Cost Control and Budgeting: Manage distribution costs and deliver within budget.
  • Improvement Initiatives: Collaborate with teams to implement improvements across all departments, people, and culture.
  • Continuous Improvement: Develop and implement new SOPs, ensuring an air of continuous improvement across all distribution activities.
  • Staff Motivation and Development: Motivate staff to achieve objectives and develop their skills.
  • KPI Management: Ensure KPI results meet agreed targets and/or develop plans to achieve set targets.
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Stock Management: Maintain minimal shrinkage.
  • Staff Recruitment and Development: Recruit, train, and develop staff.
  • Health and Safety: Maintain Health and Safety procedures.
  • Personnel Management: Review and control all personnel issues, including recruitment, training, setting and achievement of targets, staff disciplinary, maintenance of personnel files, staff contracts of employment, and staff assessment.
Key Skills:
  • Logistics and Supply Chain Experience: Proven experience in logistics and supply chain management.
  • Warehouse Management Systems: Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Leadership and Communication: Excellent communication, motivational, and leadership skills.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability: Flexible and adaptable approach.
  • Microsoft Excel: Proficient in using Microsoft Excel for spreadsheets and records.
  • Organizational and Planning Skills: Excellent organizational and planning skills.
