We are seeking a skilled and motivated General Practice Nurse to join our clinical team at the Waterfront surgery, part of the NHS social care centre.
The ideal candidate will be a compassionate and competent healthcare professional, providing high-quality patient care to our practice population.
The Waterfront surgery has been recognised for its good quality care by CQC.
About the JobThis is a full-time opportunity requiring a minimum of 2 years post-graduate experience as a Practice Nurse within General Practice.
You will be responsible for delivering comprehensive patient care, including vaccinations, wound management, cervical screenings, family planning services, and other essential healthcare procedures.
Experience working with patients who have diabetes, hypertension, and asthma is highly desirable.
Your Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality patient care in accordance with NMC guidelines and standards.
- Collaborate effectively with our multidisciplinary team, including GPs, physician associates, physiotherapists, healthcare assistants, and clinical pharmacists.
- Continuously develop your skills and knowledge to meet the evolving needs of our practice population.
Our team consists of experienced healthcare professionals working together to deliver high-quality patient care.
This includes social prescribers, clinical pharmacists, first contact physiotherapists, and a pharmacy technician.
Essential Qualifications and Skills- Minimum of 2 years post-graduate experience.
- Practice nurse experience within General Practice.
- Registration with the NMC.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Basic nursing competencies required for the position.
- Primary care experience.
- QOF and chronic disease management expertise (e.g. diabetes, CHD, COPD, asthma).
- Relevant skills and qualifications, such as phlebotomy, cervical cytology, childhood immunisations, travel clinic, and smoking cessation.
