SEN Teaching Assistant Role in Cheltenham

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a skilled SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in Cheltenham. Working with a lovely special school, you will provide specialist education to students, giving you a great chance to develop your knowledge and skills.

The role involves supporting the teacher in subjects such as maths, literacy, science, and PSHE. Your tasks will include setting up activities, printing, and organizing arts and crafts sessions. If you have experience with phonics, teams, or behavioral management, this is an excellent chance to progress in your teaching career.

We are looking for a nurturing individual who can show maturity and positivity in the role. As a friendly and trustworthy person, you will build strong relationships with students and staff. This is a supply position, where you can work flexibly and cover staff absences. There is also the opportunity to develop into a permanent position in the school.

For immediate start, you must have a full enhanced DBS on the updated service. However, if you don't, we can help with your application.

  • Experience in SEN, including autism and Social Emotional and Mental health
  • Knowledge of phonics, teams, or behavioral management
  • Ability to work with challenging behavior and implement interventions
