About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Physiotherapist to join our team at Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Band 5/6 Physiotherapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality musculoskeletal outpatient physiotherapy services at various locality sites in Swindon.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the physiotherapy team, learning and development, and the multidisciplinary team, taking responsibility for your caseload and a defined area of the service or patient type.
  • Supervise Band 5 Physiotherapists and participate in their personal and professional development, including In-Service-Training.
  • Supervise, educate, and assess the performance of physiotherapy students to a graduate standard, working with universities to ensure the standard of practice and teaching meets the standards set by the degree level qualification.
  • Undertake evidence-based audit and research projects to further your and the team's clinical practice within each rotation.
  • Lead the implementation of specific changes to practice or contribute to service protocols.
  • Undertake comprehensive assessments of patients, using advanced clinical reasoning skills and manual assessment techniques to provide an accurate diagnosis of their condition.
Requirements
  • Degree in Physiotherapy
  • MCSP
  • Relevant Band 5 rotations, including outpatients and orthopaedics
  • Experience of working in GP practice, triage, or assessment clinics
  • Experience of supervising students
  • Sound understanding of clinical governance
