Role Overview

We are seeking experienced and passionate GCSE Maths Tutors to join our team for the upcoming academic year. As a tutor, you will provide one-on-one or small group support to students, helping them overcome challenges and excel in their GCSE Maths studies. Your role will involve creating engaging lesson plans, adapting teaching methods to meet individual needs, and fostering a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality Maths tutoring sessions to students from various backgrounds, up to GCSE level.
  • Adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate the specific needs of students with SEN and EHCPs.
  • Develop personalized lesson plans that align with the curriculum and cater to each student's learning style.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to students, parents, and relevant stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively with school staff and local authorities to ensure a cohesive support system for each student.
  • Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions, student progress, and any additional support provided.
Requirements
  • A strong background in Maths, ideally with a degree in Mathematics or a related field.
  • Proven experience in tutoring or teaching Maths up to GCSE level.
  • A good understanding of the challenges faced by students with SEN and EHCPs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students succeed.
  • Ability to work independently and manage your schedule effectively.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
