Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Chemist to join our Process Development team at Reed Scientific. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, planning, and executing experimental programs and associated analytical testing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute experimental programs and associated analytical testing with guidance from a supervisor.
  • Operate a Pilot Plant unit and support process improvements and process safety activities.
  • Evaluate new raw materials and component suppliers.
  • Provide analysis and insight for lab or plant troubleshooting, process optimization, and New Product Development projects.
  • Make technical recommendations based on the interpretation of experimental results/data.
  • Document experimental results and learnings through knowledge management systems.

Requirements:

  • A degree in chemistry or a related scientific discipline (e.g. chemical engineering).
  • Strong technical competencies with an aptitude for practical laboratory and/or pilot plant work and organic synthesis.
  • Ideally looking for 1-2 years industry experience. If you are a fresh graduate who has done similar work during placement year, this can also be considered.
  • Experience in analytical chemistry techniques would be an advantage.
  • Diligence in managing test results, technical information, and lab records.
  • Ability to interpret data and make recommendations.
