Job Details

As a Casual Catering Supervisor with Fife Council, you will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen activities, including cooking, organization, and supervision of food service. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise staff working in the kitchen, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Implement HACCP procedures and maintain accurate records of food preparation and service.
  • Understand and cater to the dietary and nutritional needs of residents in the care home.
  • Transport and serve meals, as well as perform general kitchen and dining room duties.

Requirements

  • Catering experience or a relevant qualification, such as an SVQ or City & Guilds.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and provide a regular and effective service.
  • Must obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland.

Training and Support

Fife Council provides training on In-House systems and supports staff in achieving an Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate.
