We are seeking an experienced EHS and Sustainability Manager to join our client, an established injection moulding manufacturer, in their UK site. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of Health, Safety, Environment, and sustainability, leading and developing the EHS team to ensure compliance with regulations and promote a culture of safety and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments, implementing corrective actions to maintain a safe working environment.
- Develop and manage environmental initiatives to achieve sustainability targets and improve environmental performance.
- Implement strategies for waste management, recycling, and pollution prevention.
- Facilitate comprehensive investigations and root cause analyses (RCA) for accidents, incidents, and environmental events.
- Develop and deliver EHS training programs for all employees, contractors, and customers.
- Maintain Risk Assessments, PUWER, COSHH registers, and other critical documentation.
- Manage Contractor Permits, Method Statements, Risk Assessments, and insurance documentation, adhering to CDM regulations (CDM 2015).
- Build and maintain productive relationships with SMT, Group Sustainability, Environment Agency, Health & Safety Executive, Insurance Partners, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Monitor and analyse Health, Safety, and Environmental performance, using data to drive improvement and inform business strategy.
- Strong understanding of Health and Safety regulations, Environmental Management, and Sustainability practices.
- Proficient in Risk Assessments, Safety and Environmental management systems (ISO 14001, ISO 45001), and data analysis tools.
- Demonstrated success in managing EHS systems, leading initiatives, and achieving compliance goals.
