About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Land Manager to join our team at Recruit Build. As a key member of our land acquisition team, you will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and securing suitable land sites for our care home developments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with local authorities, landowners, and other developers to stay up-to-date on current and future market opportunities.
  • Work closely with the land team to conduct land appraisals and determine the valuation of potential development land.
  • Produce a clear assessment of the potential success of a development by collating build costs, market research, local planning policy, and technical information.
  • Negotiate and prepare offers to pursue land opportunities within budgets and forecasts.
  • Maintain a sound knowledge of technical and health and safety aspects related to land acquisition and development.
  • Ensure effective working relationships between Land and other internal departments to maximize opportunities for land acquisition.
  • Maintain and manage the land register/portfolio.
  • Liaise with Planning and external consultants to ensure successful delivery of applications and decisions.

Requirements:

  • Planning or Surveying related degree or equivalent.
  • RICS or RTPI is desirable.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to travel to potential land opportunities and development sites.
  • Collaborative working style.
