Mentor for Foster Children

Responsibilities: Your primary responsibility will be to establish a long-lasting relationship with your assigned child or young person. You can engage in various activities together, such as participating in hobbies, going on outings, or simply having a chat. Our Coordinators will match you with a suitable child based on your availability and interests.
Requirements: To be eligible for this role, you must be at least 18 years old and available to volunteer after 4 pm on weekdays or weekends. A commitment of 2 years with one visit per month is required to ensure stability for the child or young person. Please note that a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check at an enhanced level is mandatory for this position.
Benefits: As a Volunteer Befriender, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience working with vulnerable youth, develop your communication and interpersonal skills, and contribute to the well-being of your assigned child. In addition, you will receive ongoing support and training from our team. Estimated salary: £22,000 - £25,000 per annum.
