About the Role:

Empowering Learning is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Music Teacher to join our team at a Secondary School in Skipton. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional teaching and learning opportunities for students, while contributing to the strategic direction of the music department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To provide outstanding teaching and learning experiences for students, aligned with the school's vision and values.
  • To lead training programs and contribute to the enhancement of music practice across the school.
  • To support the school in implementing agreed whole-school policies and initiatives.
  • To plan and facilitate professional learning workshops as requested.

Requirements:

  • A teaching qualification.
  • A degree or equivalent.
  • Outstanding teaching practice.
  • Excellent behaviour management.
  • Experience of lesson observations and giving robust feedback.
  • Experience of improvement planning.
  • Experience of implementing strategies to raise student achievement, with evidence of success.
  • A proven track record of excellent results at KS3/4.
  • Experience of high-quality pupil tracking and feedback practices.

Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 per annum (dependent on experience).
