About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fundraising and Grants Officer to join our team at Home-Start Newark. As a key member of our fundraising team, you will be responsible for identifying and securing funding opportunities from government agencies, foundations, and private entities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify Funding Opportunities: Research and identify potential grant opportunities from government agencies, foundations, and private entities.
  • Develop and Submit Grant Proposals: Craft persuasive and tailored grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and supporting documents.
  • Build and Maintain Relationships: Secure new corporate fundraising opportunities, build and maintain relationships with businesses.
  • Grant Management: Maintain and manage a calendar of submissions and reporting deadlines.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager: Work closely with the project manager to align grant applications and fundraising opportunities with organisational goals and project needs.
  • Reporting and Compliance: Prepare and submit grant monitoring reports, ensuring compliance with funder requirements, and meeting expectations from business donors and partners.

  • Proactive Attitude: Self-motivated and able to work independently while also being a team player.
