About the Role
G DOC Ltd is seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team at Lydney practice. As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for taking blood samples from patients, completing associated documentation, and mentoring new staff members.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect blood samples from patients using venipuncture techniques.
- Complete all necessary documentation and maintain accurate records.
- Mentor and train new staff members to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Ensure effective and efficient use of phlebotomy equipment and consumables.
- Comply with Health and Safety policies and procedures.
- Behave with courtesy and consideration towards colleagues and patients.
- Comply with data protection legislation and maintain patient confidentiality.
About Us
G DOC Ltd is a not-for-profit organization owned by GP practices in Gloucestershire. We operate on a limited company basis, with a Board of Directors comprising experienced local GPs. Our services include running GP practices, countywide services, and a Covid Medicines Service.
Person Specification
- Experience working with the public.
- Ability to work flexibly and travel between healthcare sites.
