About the Role

We are looking for a Maintenance and Repair Specialist to join our Estates team in the Stockport area.

The estimated salary for this role is £12.50 per hour, with the possibility of working 37.5 hours per week.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a supportive environment where contributions are valued and professional growth is encouraged.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct regular site inspections to identify maintenance needs.
  2. Ensure the school site is safe and secure at all times.
  3. Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
  4. Facilitate school setups and day-to-day operations.
  5. Perform general maintenance, repairs, painting, and decoration across the site.
  6. Assist with external lettings and event management.
  7. Support health and safety compliance, including pool maintenance.
  8. Manage car park access during busy periods.
  9. Liaise with contractors as needed.
  10. Participate in special events like Open Days and Entrance Exams.
  11. Ensure site safety during adverse weather conditions.
  12. Pursue proactive improvements to the school estate.
  13. Contribute to sustainable practices development.
Requirements:
  • Strong general maintenance knowledge.
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Understanding of health and safety implications.
Benefits:

This is a permanent role that offers 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, pro-rated for part-time appointments.

The successful candidate will be based in the Stockport area, with free car parking available.
