About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Relationship Manager to oversee and drive success of development finance and self-build projects at Saffron Building Society. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing relationships with clients and third parties, including surveyors, quantity surveyors, and solicitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of development finance cases from Heads of Terms through to completion and sale of the properties.
  • Contribute to the development and overall achievement of the development finance lending objectives.
  • Attend client meetings and prepare client documents for internal systems.
  • Provide valuable research and information on industry trends, competitor product initiatives, and market intelligence to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure adherence to audit and compliance requirements through regular control checks.
  • Review and monitor self-build cases and self-build watch list, reporting back findings and recommendations to Credit Committee.
  • Highlight any deterioration in the development finance RAG status and outline remediation required to maintain the agreed exit strategy.
  • Facilitate repeat business from existing borrowers and represent Saffron For Intermediaries at external events.
Requirements
  • Demonstrable relationship management experience in dealing with clients and third parties.
  • In-depth knowledge of property development and self-build finance.
  • Ability to work with the Society's operating systems and good overall IT skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
