Jupiter Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Deputy Surgical Ward Manager to join our team in Preston, Lancashire. As a key member of the hospital's management team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our acute mental health services.

About the Job

This is an exciting opportunity for a Registered Mental Health Nurse with a current active NMC Pin to take on a leadership role within our hospital. You will be responsible for managing the clinical area in the absence of the manager and overseeing the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care within agreed parameters.

We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, experience in clinical supervision, and a strong understanding of local, national policies, and legislation governing current service provision. If you have a passion for mentoring and leadership, this could be the perfect role for you.

The ideal candidate will have at least 18 months of post-registration experience and a commitment to ongoing professional development. In return, we offer a competitive salary of £43,014 - £46,314 per annum, plus a range of benefits including free meals on duty, free on-site parking, and comprehensive induction and training.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the clinical area in the absence of the manager
  • Oversee the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care

  • Ensure effective communication pathways
Requirements
  • Clinical supervision experience essential
  • Good computer skills
  • Experience in Acute Mental Health desirable
  • At least 18 months post-registration experience preferred
