Job Description Summary

Temporary position to cover maternity leave from December 2024.

In this role, you will be responsible for leading HR activities for GE Vernova's Electrification Software business in North Europe. You will lead HR activities for the UK & IRL and will co-ordinate HR activities across eight other countries in your region in partnership with the HR managers supporting Electrification Software in those countries. Your focus will be on leading HR initiatives across the region including Talent Development, Employee Engagement, Simplification and Culture. Your role will go beyond ensuring the execution of HR activities to include partnering with global and regional HR leaders/business leaders and the country HR teams to develop HR strategy aligned with business objectives and leading the rollout and execution of initiatives in your region. Deep domain knowledge in HR and a good understanding of industry trends will enable you to contribute actively to problem solving and decision making in the business.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with business needs in areas such as structure, simplification, culture, and talent.
  2. Plan and execute HR activities coordinating the local HR teams supporting the business.
  3. Direct execution of UK and Ireland HR activities including leadership, coaching, and support for individual employees, people leaders, and HR processes.
  4. Coach the HR team in the region on a regular basis to ensure delivery of objectives.
  5. Drive HR activities with a lean mindset to continually seek ways to improve and innovate.
  6. Partner with the global HR team and people leaders to ensure high quality people reviews, talent and performance management, and salary planning.
  7. Work to attract, develop, engage, and retain strong and diverse talent.
  8. Partner with People Operations to ensure smooth and effective management of people throughout the employee lifecycle.

Requirements

  1. Previous experience in Human Resources in the UK.
  2. Bachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited university or college in a related area.
  3. Strategic and tactical mindset with strong business acumen.
  4. Ability to create/ shape an HR agenda that delivers to business needs.
  5. Strong influencing skills - using data to support your thinking.
  6. Specialized depth of expertise in your local country labor legislation.
  7. Established project management skills - capable of leading complex initiatives, building and executing plans in an organized manner.
  8. Fluency in English and ideally another European language.
