Exciting Opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer at Octagon Group

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at Octagon Group, a leading Aerospace company dedicated to innovation and excellence. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a critical role in developing and maintaining robust manufacturing processes and product structures, ensuring cost efficiency and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process Development: Design and implement lean manufacturing processes and product structures to meet customer expectations and reduce waste.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Perform thorough root cause analysis to identify and resolve manufacturing issues.
  • Lean Manufacturing Techniques: Apply lean manufacturing techniques, such as value stream mapping and one-piece flow, to optimize manufacturing processes.
  • Design for Manufacturing: Conduct design for manufacturing and value engineering initiatives to ensure product reliability and quality.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering and production, to ensure seamless product development and manufacturing.

Requirements:

  • Education: Degree qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline, such as engineering or manufacturing.
  • Skills: In-depth knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques, Six Sigma concepts, and problem-solving methodologies. Proficiency in software applications, including CAD, CAM, and MS Office suite.
