Project Accountant Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Accountant to join our client, a leading UK real estate developer. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting experience and a background in property.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee project costs and budgets, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
  • Manage project cash flow effectively, collaborating with development teams to achieve strategic objectives
  • Prepare management accounts, providing insightful analysis to inform business decisions
  • Support board reporting and handle ad hoc reporting needs, showcasing expertise in financial presentation
  • Process VAT and CIS returns efficiently, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Handle monthly payment processing, maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
  • Assist with the annual audit, providing support throughout the process

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • ACCA/CIMA part-qualified/finalist, demonstrating a solid foundation in accounting principles
  • X2 years experience within a commercial role, preferably in a similar industry
  • Experience in Excel modeling or a willingness to learn in this area, leveraging analytical skills
  • Experience using Xero accounting software, familiarizing yourself with its capabilities
  • Background in property, showcasing understanding of the sector's unique challenges and opportunities
  • Hands-on, adaptable, and ready to dive into various tasks, embracing new challenges
  • Self-motivated and proactive, driving results-oriented performance
