About the Role:
We are seeking a qualified Registered General Nurse or Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our team as a Peripatetic Nurse. As a key member of our care team, you will work across multiple care homes in our Gloucestershire region, providing clinical leadership and guidance to ensure high standards of nursing and personal care are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver, monitor, and re-evaluate care needs in partnership with residents, their key carers, family members, and the wider care team.
- Liaise effectively with GPs, hospitals, and external agencies to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Provide clinical leadership and guidance to care teams, promoting best practices and high-quality care.
- Support and mentor new nurses during their induction and provide general support to existing nurses.
- Work autonomously, making decisions and taking ownership of care delivery.
Requirements:
- Qualified Registered General Nurse or Registered Mental Health Nurse, currently registered with the NMC.
- Post-registration experience, with evidence of continuing professional development activities.
- Comfortable working autonomously and making decisions.
- Clear understanding of regulatory frameworks and experience in areas such as medication administration, catheterisation, end-of-life care, and more.
