About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at the Mother and Baby Unit. As a Consultant in Maternal Mental Health, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to pregnant women and post-natal women suffering from serious and/or complex mental health conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide regular clinical reviews for inpatients on the ward as required.
  • Supervise Specialty Doctors and provide clinical input within the CPA framework.
  • Prepare reports and attend mental health review tribunals and all related mental health act responsibilities.
  • Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to deliver safe and effective care to patients.
  • Provide professional leadership and contribute to the development of the service.
Person Specification
  • Full registration with the GMC and licence to practice in the UK.
  • Experience of inpatient work as a consultant.
  • Excellent clinical and communication skills.
