The CODART Museum seeks a highly skilled and dedicated professional to join its team as an Assistant Curator. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the planning and implementation of exhibitions and displays.

Role Overview:

The Assistant Curator will play a key role in the development and delivery of various exhibitions, focusing on leading certain projects and ensuring their successful execution. They will be responsible for maintaining and caring for the museum's collection of fine and decorative art, conducting research and collaborating with colleagues to ensure its proper display and interpretation.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and deliver exhibitions, including project leadership and collaboration with the Director, Exhibitions Manager, Curator, and other team members.
  2. Maintain and care for the museum's collection, ensuring accurate cataloging, storage, and display.
  3. Contribute to the museum's educational programs, designing engaging activities and materials for diverse audiences.
  4. Represent the museum among peers, scholars, collectors, supporters, and funders, fostering partnerships and collaborations.
Requirements:
  • Degree in a relevant field, such as art history, curatorial studies, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in exhibition development, collections management, and education programming.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Estimated Salary:

$60,000 - $80,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
