Job Title Naval Architect Graduate

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Naval Architect Graduate to join our team at BAE Systems. As a Naval Architect Graduate, you will be responsible for supporting the design of submarine hull form and appendages, working closely with the MOD and other external stakeholders to agree and understand engineering and design requirements, and participating in various design working groups with internal and external stakeholders.



Duties and Responsibilities


  • Supporting the design of submarine hull form and appendages.
  • Working closely with the MOD and other external stakeholders to agree and understand engineering and design requirements.
  • Participating in various design working groups with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Undertaking a range of analyses and calculations relating to stability and manoeuvrability.
  • Providing delivery teams across all submarine programmes with guidance and support in matters related to Naval Architecture.
  • Supporting commissioning activities to ensure the timely delivery of submarines to the Royal Navy.


Requirements

As a minimum requirement, you will need to have obtained or be predicted to obtain a 2.2 in your Bachelor's or Master's degree in either Marine Technology, Naval Architecture, Small Craft Technology, Offshore Engineering, Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture with High Performance Vehicles, or Naval Architecture with Ocean Engineering. Ship Science, with hons in Naval Architecture, Offshore Engineering, Naval Engineering, or Yacht and Small Craft.
