Conservation Management Systems Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Data Management Consultant to join our team at Idox plc. As a GIS and Conservation Expert, you will play a key role in the development and implementation of our Conservation Management System (CMSi).

CMSi is a comprehensive, map-based solution for the planning and management of protected areas. It is used to manage thousands of protected sites in the UK and overseas, by organisations including Natural England, Wildlife Trusts, and several important conservation clients in Europe and Africa.

The successful candidate will have excellent IT and data management skills, with a background in conservation, land management, life sciences or a similar field. They will be responsible for:

  • Designing and implementing data management solutions to support conservation efforts
  • Developing and maintaining GIS applications to support conservation planning and management
  • Collaborating with our development team to ensure the CMSi system meets the needs of our clients

We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about conservation and has a genuine interest in using data and technology to support environmental management. If you have a strong background in data handling, change and improvement projects, and software adaptation and design, we would like to hear from you.
