Apprentice Building Surveyor

Job Title: Quantity SurveyorWe are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team at A&N Lewis, a well-established building contractor in Cardiff. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and managing contract budgets and forecasts to ensure the financial control and profitability of allocated contracts.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and manage contract budgets and forecasts to ensure financial control and profitability
- Promote and follow good project governance through policies and procedures
- Develop and extend commercial relationships with new and existing clients
- Maintain good relationships with all housing clients
- Attend and lead meetings with clients and sub-contractors
- Regularly report on sub-contractor performance
- Develop and administer sub-contractor processes in line with SOP
- Manage sub-contractor and client valuation accounts to support good project governance, assurance, and finance drivers
- Assist the Service Delivery Manager and Operations Manager with pre-start planning, project execution plans, and contract engagement strategy
- HND/HNC Level in a relevant construction acknowledged course
- Previous experience within social housing
- Excellent construction technology knowledge
- Good working knowledge of forms of contract currently used within the building trade
- Financial reporting
- Quality inspections
