Welcome to the Research Apparatus Developer role at the University of St Andrews

We are looking for a skilled developer to join our team and contribute to the design and fabrication of novel research apparatus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing and developing innovative research equipment using digital and analogue electronic and microcontroller-based technologies
  • Collaborating closely with staff and students to ensure effective project planning and delivery
  • Ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety in the development of research apparatus

Requirements:

  • Minimum HND (or equivalent) in Electronic Engineering or allied subjects
  • Proven experience in a relevant area, ideally at least 3 years
  • Flexible and positive team player with the ability to manage their own workload autonomously

Salary: Approximately £35,000-£45,000 per annum, depending on experience.
