About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Marine Consultant to join our Marine Renewables and Infrastructure team at Environmental Resources Management (ERM).

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing consenting, permitting, and general EIA support to our clients in the offshore wind and subsea cables sectors.

You will lead and manage projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required specifications. This will involve coordinating with technically-focused employees, managing external subcontractors, and contributing to business development and marketing strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage projects, ensuring high-quality delivery and timely completion
  • Provide consenting, permitting, and EIA support to clients in the offshore wind and subsea cables sectors
  • Coordinate with technically-focused employees and manage external subcontractors
  • Contribute to business development and marketing strategies
  • Line manage up to five individuals and contribute to employee retention and recruitment

Requirements:

  • Detailed knowledge of the EIA and consenting process for at least one major marine development sector in the UK
  • Demonstrable Project Management skills, with evidence of acting as a PM on previous projects
  • Business development experience, via client relationship management and/or leading on bid preparation
  • Excellent written and oral communication, organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and part of a team as/when required
