Electrical Systems Compliance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Systems Compliance Specialist to oversee and ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards. The role involves providing expert guidance on safe electrical systems, reviewing designs, conducting audits, and authorising personnel to perform electrical work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review, assess, and approve electrical designs and installations.
  • Provide root cause analysis of non-compliance incidents to minimize performance deductions.
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and failures involving engineering systems.
  • Conduct site audits, inspections, and assessments to ensure the safety and reliability of electrical systems.
  • Lead and manage training sessions for electrical engineers and technicians, focusing on safety and compliance.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of electrical safety regulations, such as BS 7671, Electricity at Work Regulations, and others.
  • Issue Authorised Person (AP) certifications for individuals based on competence and training.
  • Provide expert advice on maintenance and operational procedures for electrical equipment.

Requirements:

  • Degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or related field is desirable.
  • Significant experience in managing electrical systems in industrial, or critical infrastructure environments.
  • Experience of incident investigation and root cause analysis.
