About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting the smooth running of our dispensary, providing coordinator support to the dispensary team, and assisting in the training and induction of new members of the team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the dispensary, providing coordinator support to the dispensary team, and assisting in the training and induction of new members of the team.
  • Support the training and induction of new members of the team, pharmacy apprentices, trainee technicians, and pharmacists working alongside you.
  • Monitor workload and track KPIs to ensure efficient dispensary operations.
  • Provide excellent customer service skills, answering phone queries from service users, and covering staff and out-patient reception.
  • Support ward-based tasks, including assessing patients' own drugs, medicines reconciliation, and one-stop ordering.
  • Support stores responsibilities, including receipting of deliveries, stock management processes, and supporting ward and fluid top-up services to clinical areas.

Person Specification
  • Qualified Pharmacy Technician, registered with the GPhC holding an NVQ Level 3 or other relevant qualification.
  • Relevant post-qualification experience.
