About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Information Services Specialist to join our Knowledge team at CMS. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for researching and assessing information to support our fee-earners in client and non-chargeable work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research and assess information using traditional printed materials, commercial electronic sources, and the internet to support our fee-earners.
  • Supply research and facilitate user access to relevant content.
  • Deliver horizon scanning and current awareness services, including commercial press alerts and other relevant resources.
  • Assist with research and resource training for trainees, new joiners, and practice groups.
  • Capture research know-how for future use and contribute to the team knowledge bank and internal pages on the intranet.

About You

We are looking for a client-driven individual with good interpersonal skills, a commercial and professional approach, and basic experience of using the Microsoft Office Suite. Previous experience in Information Services is desirable, particularly in the legal or professional services sector.
