About the Role

Nexus Health Limited is seeking an experienced Advanced Physiotherapist to join our team as a First Contact Physiotherapist. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing high-quality care to patients in West Hertfordshire.

Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic physiotherapist to work as part of our multidisciplinary team, providing first contact physiotherapy services to patients in primary care. The successful candidate will have experience working in a similar role, with a strong understanding of musculoskeletal (MSK) issues and the ability to work autonomously.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assess, diagnose, and manage patients with MSK problems and undifferentiated conditions, working independently in clinical practice.
  • Provide clinical expertise, acting as first-contact physiotherapist and making decisions about the best course of action for patients' care.
  • Progress and request investigations to facilitate diagnosis and choice of treatment regime, understanding the limitations of investigations and interpreting results to aid diagnosis and management plans.
  • Develop integrated and tailored care programmes in partnership with patients, providing a range of first-line treatment options, including self-management and referral to rehabilitation-focused services and social prescribing provision.
  • Liaise with secondary care MSK services, community care MSK services, and local social and community interventions as required, to support the management of patients in primary care.
Requirements
  • Experience of working as a Band 8a physiotherapist in an NHS setting.
  • Injection therapy experience.
  • Ability to take virtual and face-to-face consultations.
  • Working knowledge of EMIS software system (desirable).
