Exciting Opportunity for HGV Class 2 Drivers

Vector Recruitment Solutions is seeking skilled HGV Class 2 drivers to join their highways team in a rapidly expanding drainage contractor. As a key player in maintaining essential infrastructure, you will operate the Vacuum Tanker (Gully Tanker) with utmost safety and play a crucial role in maintaining the roadside drainage network.

Role and Responsibilities

As an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will be responsible for:

  • Operating the Vacuum Tanker (Gully Tanker) with safety and efficiency
  • Maintaining the roadside drainage network through active involvement outside the vehicle
  • Utilising provided equipment to ensure the drainage network's upkeep
  • Working in pairs to distribute the workload effectively
Working Hours and Pay Rate

Working hours will be Monday to Friday, with day and night shifts available. Pay rates are as follows:

  • Day Shift: £13.39 per hour
  • Night Shift: £16.74 per hour

Enhanced rates and bonuses will be offered for hours worked outside of standard hours and for meeting specific performance targets.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • A valid HGV Class 2 Licence
  • A CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence)
  • The willingness to actively participate in the physical demands of the job
  • Previous experience in a road or drainage environment is beneficial, though not mandatory
