Job Overview

Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate professional to fill the role of Trauma Risk Management Lead. This position plays a vital part in supporting staff members who work in Forensic services, ensuring they receive timely and effective Trauma Risk Management (TRiM) responses after experiencing incidents at work.

As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for promoting TRiM among staff teams, overseeing operational aspects of TRiM, and reporting on its operations to the Service Manager and Clinical lead for TRiM and Trauma-informed care. Your role will be instrumental in maintaining a supportive work environment, mitigating the challenges of Forensic services, and enabling staff to provide exceptional care to service-users.

Main Responsibilities

You will join a well-established team of TRiM Practitioners, providing operational, logistical, and supervisory support. Your primary responsibilities will include coordinating TRiM responses within 72 hours of incidents, training new practitioners, and refreshing existing staff's skills. You will also be responsible for promoting TRiM to staff and collaborating with the Trust-wide staff support hub and other TRiM pilots.

  • Relevant professional qualification and registration
  • Experience working in challenging environments and high-stress situations
  • Awareness of trauma and evidence of specific training or reading
  • Ability to demonstrate reflection on responses to trauma and evidence of self-care
