About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Educational Psychologist to join our leadership team at Hampshire County Council. As an Area Senior Educational Psychologist, you will be responsible for leading a team of Psychologists in the East Area Team, covering Hart, Rushmoor, and East Hampshire.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of Psychologists in the East Area Team, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality services.
  • Work closely with the HEP Leadership Team to develop and implement strategies to improve services and outcomes for children and young people.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with schools, academies, and other stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration and service delivery.
  • Contribute to the development of new initiatives and projects, such as MeLSA and MAML, to improve services and outcomes.
  • Provide supervision and coaching to team members to support their professional development and well-being.
Requirements
  • Be a fully qualified Educational Psychologist with successful experience as a practicing Psychologist in a Local Authority EPS, working across the age-range 0-25 years.
  • Have experience in managing professionals and leading multiple projects.
  • Be able to travel to various locations within Hampshire and have a current drivers' licence and access to a reliable vehicle on a regular basis.
