About the Role

As a Fleet Maintenance Specialist with South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive team environment, ensuring the highest standards of maintenance and repair for our fleet of vehicles and equipment.

This is an exciting role that offers the chance to develop your skills and expertise while making a real difference to the lives of our patients. You will be responsible for carrying out service, maintenance, and repair activities on motor vehicles and equipment, adhering to the Trust's and manufacturer's scheduled times.

You will work closely with our team to ensure that all work is completed effectively and efficiently, and that high levels of customer satisfaction are maintained at all times. Your attention to detail and ability to work independently will be essential in this role.

We offer a competitive salary of approximately £28,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as a range of benefits including holiday entitlements, pension scheme, and access to training and development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out service, maintenance, and repair activities on motor vehicles and equipment
  • Adhere to the Trust's and manufacturer's scheduled times
  • Work closely with the team to ensure effective and efficient completion of work
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of new technologies and techniques

Requirements

  • HND in Mechanical/electrical or electronic engineering or equivalent
  • Recognised Motor Vehicle Indentured Apprenticeship or training scheme
  • Motor Vehicle Craft Studies Parts 1, 2 & 3 or Motor Vehicle Technicians Parts 1, 2 & 3 or BTEC equivalent
  • Current clean driving license
