About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Assistant to join our team at Healthcare Ireland Group. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents, ensuring their wellbeing and comfort.

As a member of our frontline team, you will be responsible for delivering personalized care and assistance with activities of daily living, including eating, drinking, washing, dressing, and going to the toilet. You will also participate in activities, motivating and supporting residents to get involved, and assess and observe the emotional and physical wellbeing of residents, recognizing changes and reporting as necessary in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist qualified staff with care plans, tasks, and activities to support the wellbeing, dignity, and treatment of residents
  • Participate in activities, motivating and supporting residents to get involved
  • Assist residents with eating, drinking, washing, dressing, and going to the toilet
  • Assess and observe the emotional and physical wellbeing of residents, recognizing changes and reporting as necessary in a timely manner
  • Maintain accurate records, communicating effectively with residents and their families
  • Provide care in a safe environment through participation in learning and development programmes

Requirements:

  • A good standard of written and oral English
  • The Right to Work in the UK
  • Be NISCC registered or eligible to register
  • Must be able to travel: driving licence and access to vehicle required
  • Minimum of 6 months previous experience in health and social care
