Salary
The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary of £70,000 - £100,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Nuclear Physicist to join our team. As a key member of our Radiation Physics & Shielding team, you will be responsible for supervising and conducting analysis and experiments to support system qualification, as well as supporting the progression of design optimisation.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Relevant STEM degree in Physics/Mathematics/Chemistry/Nuclear Engineering
- Demonstrable experience of radiation transport codes such as MCNP/MCBEND/Attilla
- Understanding of radiation physics
- Experience of radiation safety studies & behaviours
- Experience of radiation metrology
- Knowledge of the ALARP principle
