Job Title: Fencing Estimator

Role Overview:

As a Fencing Estimator at Procter Brothers LTD, you will play a key role in securing new business opportunities and driving revenue growth for the company.

You will be responsible for providing detailed estimates for fence installation projects, generating sales orders and building positive relationships with customers.

Salary:

We offer a competitive salary of £58,000 - £68,000 per annum depending on experience.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Creating detailed estimates for fence installation projects, taking into account all relevant factors
  • Generating sales orders to meet business targets and drive revenue growth
  • Developing and maintaining positive relationships with customers through effective communication and relationship-building
  • Negotiating sales orders to secure new business opportunities and build long-term partnerships

Key Accountabilities:

  • Collaborating with Regional Manager to develop the SE Region strategy and drive business growth
  • Conducting site surveys to assess fencing requirements and provide recommendations to customers
  • Offering value-engineering solutions to enhance customer satisfaction and reduce costs
  • Preparing takeoff drawings (measuring fence lines and gate sizes) for quoting purposes
  • Negotiating with customers to agree pricing and terms, ensuring mutual understanding and agreement
  • Liaising with purchasing department to ensure prices are accurate and up to date, reducing errors and discrepancies
  • Liaising with suppliers for pricing information, ensuring timely delivery and quality assurance
  • Responding to incoming enquiry calls to address customer queries and concerns, providing prompt and professional support
Required Skills and Qualifications:

We seek an experienced Estimator with a strong background in the fencing industry, possessing a proven track record, excellent industry knowledge and a passion for delivering results.

A deep understanding of fencing industry standards and practices is essential. The ability to carry out costing reviews upon completion of a job, manage competing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment is also required.
