DBR Group Ltd is seeking a skilled Mobile Plant Operator to join their team in the Recycling Industry. This is a 12-week temporary to permanent position, ideal for candidates with experience in operating loading shovels and 360 grab equipment.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate a range of mobile plant machinery, including loading shovels and 360 grab equipment.
- Complete daily assigned work schedules and perform daily recorded checks and basic maintenance on machines to ensure they are in good working order.
- Load various waste streams and grades in correct bays and processing areas to maximize recycling and recovery.
- Check incoming loads to ensure compliance with site licenses and permitted waste types.
- Assist in the collection and sorting of materials where required to maintain general housekeeping in the yard.
- Previous experience working in a similar environment, with a focus on operating loading shovels and 360 grab equipment.
- Mobile plant operator card or certificate of basic training is desirable.
- Previous experience working in the waste industry would be advantageous.
- Basic knowledge of health and safety requirements in an industrial/processing setting.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume operation.
- Ability to work proactively and problem-solve.
DBR Group Ltd offers a competitive package, including:
- £13.00 to £14.00 per hour.
- Overtime paid at time and a half.
- 47.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 7am to 5:30pm, plus alternate Saturdays, 7am to 12pm.
