We are seeking an experienced estimator to join our team at Viper, a successful civil engineering contractor with offices in Sheffield. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing competitive and carefully resourced tenders, ensuring timely submission and collaboration with the wider team.
About the Role:
- Preparing and submitting tender bids, negotiated contracts, and framework agreements.
- Providing detailed cost estimates and quality submissions to clients.
- Collaborating with the estimating manager to achieve company targets.
- Aiming to exceed company targets through profitable bid success.
- Supporting budget price calculations.
- Reviewing tender documentation and information provided by clients.
- Evaluating the viability of tenders.
- Calculating net tender costs from first principles.
Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will possess excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure. A strong understanding of civil engineering projects and costing principles is essential.
Salary and Benefits:
The salary for this position is estimated to be around £50,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additionally, employees enjoy access to a pension scheme and 28 days' annual leave.
