Salary: £42,238 basic (Inclusive of shift allowance) rising to £46,395 upon demonstration of site specific competencies + quarterly bonus

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Specialist to join our Engineering team at the 20" Pipe Mill in Hartlepool. The successful candidate will provide first line technical expertise to our manufacturing areas, assisting the engineering team in carrying out preventative and reactive maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the engineering team in carrying out preventative and reactive maintenance
  • Continuously maintain Health, Safety and Environmental standards, ensuring safe working procedures are followed
  • Provide first line technical expertise and knowledge to identify and rectify faults to minimise plant downtime
  • Suggest and implement improvements to process control systems through collaborative working with relevant peers
  • Possess a high quality of work, ensuring any deficiencies found are repaired expediently and are robust enough to prevent recurrence

Requirements:

We want to speak to individuals who have completed an electrical apprenticeship or possess a recognised electrical maintenance qualification (NVQ or similar). The successful candidate will ideally have a background in heavy engineering manufacturing, as well as possessing excellent interpersonal skills.

We'd also love to speak with individuals who have experience with industrial/domestic wiring, overhead cranes and associated safety systems, PLCs in Siemens and Allen Bradley, including HMI's, AC and DC motor/gearbox drive systems of various configurations, variable speed motor control with inverters and converters, including speed feedback devices, and interpret electrical drawings.
