About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Engineering and Manufacturing Specialist to join our team at Reed in Ipswich. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to lead significant improvements in operations and apply lean methodology to enhance product quality and manufacturing efficiency.

Responsibilities:
  1. Lead improvements in operations and apply lean methodology to enhance product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
  2. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure seamless integration of parts and products into production.
  3. Design and implement efficient welding processes and fixtures to improve product quality and reduce waste.
  4. Maintain safety, quality, production, and cost standards throughout the manufacturing process.
Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent, with a preference for Mechanical Engineering.
  2. Proven experience in designing weld fixtures and supporting welders, fibre lasers & press break operators.
  3. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Techniques and ability to implement them in a fast-paced environment.
  4. Strong problem-solving skills and knowledge of PFMEA, SPC, and Quality Control Techniques.
  5. Proficiency in CAD systems, Siemens NX preferred.
