Job Title: Learning Support Assistant - Special Needs Schools

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Principal Education. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with special needs in our schools across London.

Job Description:

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be responsible for providing targeted support to children with statemented special needs in the classroom. This may involve working with small groups or on a 1:1 basis, collaborating with the teacher to create a safe and inclusive learning environment for all pupils.

You will be required to demonstrate patience, empathy, composure, and diligence in maintaining an optimal and safe learning environment for children with special needs. Additionally, you will need to be flexible and adaptable, willing and able to think on your feet.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about making a positive impact on the academic and social development of children. If you have previous experience working with children in some capacity, preferably supporting children with special needs requirements, we would love to hear from you.

Requirements:
  • Demonstrate the right to work in the United Kingdom
  • Demonstrate the ability to support with creating a learning environment that effectively caters for pupils with special education needs and behavioural challenges
  • Demonstrate patience, empathy, composure, and diligence
  • Be flexible and adaptable
  • Possess a recent, enhanced copy of a DBS
  • Possess an overseas police clearance from any country that you have resided in for six months or more within the last five years, outside of the United Kingdom
  • Be based in a London borough, or within commutable distance
What We Offer:

We offer a competitive daily rate of £100-£115 per day, with the potential for a higher rate for ongoing roles in our schools. We also offer the opportunity to work with a dedicated and passionate team, making a positive impact on the lives of children with special needs.
