Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Project Accountant to join our team at Axon Moore Group Ltd. As a key member of our Group Finance team, you will work closely with senior operational staff and stakeholders to ensure accurate financial reporting and analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Reporting: Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including income and cost recognition, accrued and deferred income and costs, and variance analysis.
  • Financial Analysis: Provide in-depth financial analysis and commentary on business unit profitability and efficiency.
  • Inventory Management: Ensure accurate and timely inventory management, including materials booking in and out of inventory.
  • Balance Sheet Preparation: Prepare and review balance sheets to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • External Audit Support: Support the external audit process by ensuring robust reconciliations and supporting documentation.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with directors to prepare budgets and forecasts for all projects, ensuring operational teams understand financial expectations.
  • Stock Management: Conduct periodic stock counts and analyze any stock write-offs.
Requirements:
  • Finalist or fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) - Essential
  • Good knowledge of accounting principles and their application - Essential
  • Project/construction accounting experience - Desirable
  • Highly credible and able to build effective working relationships - Essential
  • Analytical, accurate, and detailed - Essential
